Characters
Sheren Tang Sui Man as Hilda:
Sheren Tang had once again done a terrific job! Playing as a bossy leader but has to go through many ups and downs...Sheren has portrayed this role very well! Sheren again plays the seductive type of person like she was in Loving You or any love related series. I have to say, it’s like as if the role Hilda was meant to be written for Sheren!
Melissa Ng as Ah Ling or Go Ling:
Melissa plays a very wimpy ole in this series which can sometimes be hard to do and Melissa did a great job acting this role. From her teary moments to her annoyed scenes, she continues to show her skills.
Kate Tsui as Hoi Shuen:
For Kate's first time acting in series, I think she did a pretty good job. She seemed like the modern aged teens that often want to be independent and conquers when she dislikes something. Only problems were her scenes where she was supposed to be sad or touched. For example when Hoi Shuen and Hilda are finally sisters again, she didn't really give off that feeling. As well when Hoi Shuen found out her sister had a possibility of cancer, not much emotion there but for a newbie, she did pretty well.
Michael Tse as Ah Man, Zeen Man or Man King Leung:
I always thought Michael would play the wimpy or gay roles but this was my first time seeing him play an evil type of role and I have to say, he aced it! Hong Kong views literarily hated him when they saw him. They didn't even think that he was only acting believing he was really like that in real life. Poor Michael who usually received some special discounts (due to his role in Virtues of Harmony) now probably has to pay full price or perhaps more! Only thing Michael can say is, "Thanks for watching!"
Raymond Lam as Siu Chai:
Hmm, I never really watching his series besides parts of Twin of Brothers. I thought he did a pretty good job of acting as a sort of childish but smart role. I could say he did a good job because he really made me mad when he kept thinking that Ah Ling was not supporting him.
Kenneth Ma as Ah Lik:
He did a good job of showing the big man's type of role and he made me laugh so hard when he tried to be romantic! Have to say that he did a pretty good job of being arrogant.
!!!!!!WARNING: MAY CONTAIN SPOILERS!!!!!
This series starts off with Ah Ling (Melissa Ng) going away on a business trip but due to a plane cancellation she decides to surprise her husband, Ah Man (Michael Tse). Sadly, the moment she got home, she caught her husband in bed with another woman to make it worse, she herself hid behind the shower curtains when it wasn't her who was wrong. She runs out when she is found and decides to divorce with Ah Man since he has been cheating on her for over 3 years. To divorce you would need to have both of them to sign but because AH Man is not willing to, Melissa will have to wait for another couple of months.
Just when she thought her luck couldn't get any worse, her new boss, Hilda (Sheren Tang) is very bossy and fires a great amount of workers. Ah Ling was only able to stay because Ah Man worked at Please a company partner and needed Ah Ling to make their connections well. Not wanting to lose her job, she kept her divorce a secret. With many workers fired, a new bunch were hired, of the few was Siu Chai (Raymond Lam) a very free lance type of person. Eventually Ah Ling and Siu Chai became great friends...
Not wanting to disgrace her family honour, Ah Ling had Ah Man to continue to pretend everything was alright. None of her family members knew about the divorce until one night when it was Ah Ling's father's birthday, Ah Man requested Ah Ling to help him ditch a girl. Ah Ling felt horrible after what happened and Siu Chai backed her up causing Ah Man to be jealous. Furiously, Siu Chai blurted out that Ah Ling and AH Man was divorce and Ah Ling's father happened to be there at the moment...
Hilda takes Ah Ling in to her home but ends up telling her more than she has ever told anyone else. Friends eventually became sisters, Hilda tells ah Ling about her broken up relationship with her sister Hoi Shuen and the fact that she wanted to have a baby but not keep a mate. After Hilda helped Ah Ling prove her family that Ah Man was evil, they eventually became successful in business. Hilda tried to seduce Siu Chai but is unsuccessful and decided on giving up. Ah Ling's brother misunderstood her and thought she was going to seduce him so she'd be pregnant causing a big misunderstanding with Ah Ling and Ah Ling's sister-in-law...
Hoi Shuen (Kate Tsui) comes back to Hong Kong but Hilda is too scared to face her. Hoi Shuen works at a sushi bar owned by Ah Ling's brother. After one time Hoi Shuen took a taxi driven by AH Ling's brother which is also Hilda's personal driver because she wanted to avoid Hilda, he explains all the times Hilda attempted to apologize. Just when Hilda is back with Hoi Shuen, a misunderstanding happens and is again upset at Hilda. Hilda who feels extremely confused, she goes to the bar and eventually sees Ah Man who was rejected; both of them are drunk...

FASHiON SENSE-(Only for the Female Characters)
One of the few things you notice in series is often what the characters are wearing!
FAVOURiTES:
Mostly everything Sheren wore was great! It was classy but also very stylish! One of the few was her black halter dress she wears to dinners. She also later on had a pretty white top that showed part of her right shoulder type of shirt was quite fancy.
Same with Melissa's clothes, they weren't the same type of clothes Sheren wore but they were like modern vintage type. I especially liked it when she wore her hair in a pony tail with dangly earings, white top and a skirt!
Average:
Cindy's wardrobe was really plain and some of it was terrible. She has this skirt that really bugged me, it was a dark colour with flowery patterns on it and then she just put a plain t-shirt. I can only come up there reasons why her wardrobe is like this:
A) The costume manager never read the script
B) They don’t like Cindy Au
C) They couldn't afford to spend too much on Minor Casts
D) All of the above
I think I'll stick with A or C.
Then there's Jaqueline's wardrobe, at first it wasn't really nice but after her big change, I like it alot! That's why she's in the average place.
Luckily, there were no Worst!*Phew* Overall, La Femme Desperado is a must watch! Whether you like or dislike the stars in this series, I think you should give it a try! From the thought of thinking this series would be a flunk, it became a HIT! Now doesn't that tell you something?
